Trainer’s Statement
My first exposure to NLP occurred back in the summer of 1999. I was living in Seattle, and my business partner would always speak of this friend of hers that used a communication process that would help individuals uncover the true motivations behind their actions. I was always intrigued by her stories.
But it was in 2001 when a personal relationship of 6 years ended that I felt that I could use the services of Debra and her “unique techniques” for coping and moving on. I met with Debra once a week on the phone for 4 months before I met her in person. What was so amazing to me is that Debra never suggested I do anything differently. What made her methodology so intriguing was that she only asked me questions.
She kept telling me that I didn’t need her advice but that I had “everything within me that I needed to be whole.” Well 4 months went by, we met in person, and was shocked to discover that at 32 years of age I had been living my life with the belief that if everybody didn’t like me – I was not ok. Talk about an eye-opening moment.
Debra took me to a sidewalk in downtown Tacoma, briefly explained to me the concept of Core Transformation and then spent the next 4 hours helping me to change my view of who I was and how I had let a limiting belief impact my life. I had never experienced anything like it. This woman whom I barely knew just effectively changed the way I would experience my life from this point forward.
Now to say that I was intrigued is an understatement! I then signed up for my first NLP class, which was only on weekends, and spent the next 8 months learning the basics of NLP.
Fast forward to summer of 2011. I decided that I needed to complete my Master Practitioner course, and that I would take a Practitioner course as a refresher. I accidentally, “thanks Google,” stumbled upon Global NLP, and I signed up for the 2-week course. Being completely blunt – I was a little skeptical. Global NLP stated that within a matter of weeks, I would have the skills and tools that I had previously only started to be able to have after my previous 7-month course.
To make a long story short, what had been a life-changing moment with Debra would be magnified through Global NLP. What Nikkie was able to achieve in such a short and yet intense amount of time was phenomenal. I suddenly found that I was able to communicate in ways I didn’t realize were possible. It was as if I had been given a prism to look through and only now realized there was color on the other side.
At that moment, I knew I had found something incredibly special and unique, and I knew that I had to be a part of it. When Nikkie later expressed her interest in us working together, I jumped at the opportunity. NLP has changed my life, and I invite each one of you to fully allow Global NLP to help you discover, uncover, and maximize your full life potential.
Welcome to Global!!!!!

Chris Ramey – Official Biography
There are few training schools that can say they offer you the experience of training with such a nationally and internationally renowned professional as Chris Ramey. Not only has Chris worked in over 30 different countries with the CIA, NASA, US Navy, Yves Saint Laurent, Halston, Chase, and Prudential, but also he stands among the top 5% of financial advisors in the USA. The magic about Chris though, is that in addition to being a business powerhouse, he has a passion for people and for life, and he decided to follow his passions by joining Global NLP Training. Since joining us, he has trained students from around the world who love his incredible sense of humor, his ability to make people feel at ease, his true passion and heart for personal change. Chris’s energy is contagious and inspiring to say the least.
Chris’s life in the business world began when he left high school in 1987 in Tacoma, Washington, and over the next 2 years created and managed the largest fragrance-modeling agency in Washington State. He created a 3-day immersion training that ended up being picked up and implemented by both Halston, and Yves Saint Laurent Fragrances. With a total of 47 employees, and contracts with Frederick & Nelson, I. Magnin & Co., Nordstrom, and Macy’s, he created a thriving business while still in his late teens.
In the fall of 1990, Chris heard a different calling, and joined the US Navy. Always having a desire to see and explore the world and experience other cultures, he traveled to more than 30 different countries and lived overseas for 5 years. While working as an inspector in Quality Assurance in Rota Spain, Chris was asked to create and implement the training and auditing program for 220 military personnel. He was recognized at that time as being the most junior auditor to ever create a company wide training, and that training is still being used and implemented to this day.
One year before Chris ended his nine year career with the Navy, he was tasked by NASA to oversea the inspection and quality assurance of the survival gear that was used to protect the members of the US Space Shuttle Program. The program was extremely successful, and Chris was asked to continue working within other external divisions of the US Government. That led to his next and final mission, working with the CIA, as the Special Envoy to the US Ambassador in Beirut, Lebanon.
“Although, I had had some great success with advancing, and was given some amazing opportunities during my time within the US Navy, it was during this time that it became obvious that communication was the key to success in both military and civilian endeavors. And I noticed that it was consistently the individuals with the ability to “comprehend” the underlying intention and message of the other person, that had a huge advantage” mentioned Chris. As he worked with the highest-ranking officials in Beirut, Lebanon, and Akrotiri and Nicosia, Cyprus, he continually witnessed the same pattern over and over. There were certain individuals that were using verbal techniques and skillsets to give themselves a competitive advantage. And it was these individuals that seemed to have significantly more opportunities and possibilities than their counterparts. So Chris started watching, studying, and modeling them. And although he didn’t know it at the time, their behavior, and the techniques that he was witnessing and practicing, would eventually lead him down the road to NLP.
After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Industrial Organization Psychology from the University of Maryland, Chris began his career in the investment industry. He worked as a financial advisor in the West Seattle area for 5 years at US Bancorp. During that time, he was awarded the Pinnacle trophy on multiple occasions, and ended up creating and training more than 107 advisors on the proper way to profile and assess a client’s need. He then accepted a position as regional training manager for Chase Bank, and moved down to beautiful San Diego, California.
In 2012 Chris left his position as regional manager of Prudential Financial, managing both Los Angeles and Orange County, and now is the Senior Vice President, and one of seven founding members of Capstone Affluent Strategies, a wealth management company based in Irvine, California. Chris manages a team of financial advisors for southern California, and has a private practice, which focuses on a holistic approach to investment, insurance, and retirement planning.
Having been involved with NLP for more than 14 years, Chris owes his current career to the insights that came from being a student of Global NLP Training. In a world that increasingly rewards revenue over quality of client experience, NLP has allowed him to live a life of balance, while being a steward for how financial planning can be done with integrity, compassion, and understanding.
Chris met Nikkie, and Global NLP, in the summer of 2011, and instantly decided that he needed to share the powerful Global message. After much deliberation, a 14-mile hike through the Hollywood Hills, a few pizzas and recognition of shared beliefs and up-bringing commonalities, Chris was invited to join the Global family.
Chris’s experiences combined with his sense of humor and his passions result in his undeniable energy and his natural ability to effortlessly affect others in a positive way. His fortune is not in his role as one of the nation’s top financial advisors. Chris’s fortune is in his presence. He imparts on others the awareness that it is a gift to be able to practice what you love, and an even greater gift to live a life of success that is congruent with your beliefs!
