For our NLP Training, I recently created a white paper to benefit students of the past, present and future, with a snazzy new look dressed up by our graphic designer. The point of this white paper is to offer an explanation about specific topics many students have a hard time explaining.
What is the difference between traditional psychology and NLP or NLP Based Coaching?
- The difference between working with ill-being and well-being versus where your Neuro-Linguistic programming skills can be applied.
- The difference between working with mental illness and mental health versus where your NLP training can be applied.
- The past focus of traditional psychology & coaching of who you wish to become.
The Relationship of an NLP Training with Your Past
- Where does NLP Practitioner fit in?
- Where does NLP Master Practitioner if taken with Global NLP Training fit in?
- What determines success in working with the past during an NLP training?
Positive Psychology, Social & Emotional Intelligence, and NLP
NLP has been created by studying those that are in excellence and have success; it is not developed as part of psychological experimentation and scientific research, and so is immediately branded as a pseudo-science. However, in the last 10 years or so psychology has been focusing on the future and who one wishes to become, and NLP has been doing the same thing. Decades after NLP was created, we are coming up with the same things and taking the first steps toward creating positive interventions. We call these NLP patterns.
In this section we cover:
- The scientific approach Global NLP Training uses
- Positive psychology
- Social and emotional intelligence
Experiential Learning Program
For most schools, the words “experiential” reaches no further than practicing the exercises. In Global NLP Training we also do just that, but have taken it a step further. We use the latest science and positive educational psychology to leverage the neuroplasticity within the brain during class. This has never been done before as part of an NLP training design. The reason why is simple: most NLP trainers wish to negate or “poopoo” science and psychology. But psychology has also discovered, since the creation of neuro-linguistic programming, that the answers for us to become happy aren’t in our past, or running protocols and questioning where we are broken. The answer lies in the future, in who we wish to become.
In this section we also cover how our training teaches personality typing, speed reading people, and emotional intelligence. We teach this from a pure NLP stand-point while using personality typing and emotional intelligence as a wrapper. Our discovery is that while searching for excellence in coaching, that the top requirement clients seek for in a coach is emotional intelligence. A coach’s failure or success relies on their ability to step into the map of the world of the client. Personality typing and speed reading people allow for the underlying framework to be able to do this successfully.
