There are many techniques in NLP available that can help with food cravings. In this case, I used submodalities work, and elements of how you usually silence negative self talk.

NLP technique for food cravings:

Step 1: Identify where the voice comes from, in terms of location. This can be inside of you or outside of you. Clearly get an idea as to where the voice comes from. This is the voice that talks you into the food cravings, and making it OK to have it.

Step 2: If it is inside of you imagine that it can exit your body (for instance through the top of your head, or the palm of your hand.) If it is already outside your body to begin with, great!craving

Step 3: Place the voice behind you. Do you take it more seriously or less seriously? You can also place it in front of you, to your left or to your right. The important piece is that it is in a different spot as when you started this NLP technique for food cravings.

Step 4: Move it further away from you. Do you take it more or less seriously there?

Step 5: Turn that voice into a cartoon character! Do you take it more or less seriously?

Step 6: What if you override it with loud motivational music? Do you take your food cravings more or less seriously?

Step 7: What happens if you imagine you have a control panel with a volume dial? And you turn the volume down, or even completely silence it. Do you take your food cravings less seriously?

As you can see, thanks to this NLP technique for food cravings, you have more control over your self-talk than you think you do.
