Scott Gallimore, BA

Official Biography

Scott Gallimore is a senior trainer for Global NLP Training and founder of Gallimore& Associates, a coaching company focused on personal development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and Political Science from Indiana University, and advanced masters’ level education in non-profit management from Regis University.  He is licensed coach, NLP Trainer and NLP Master Practitioner through the Coach Training Alliance, Global NLP Training, the Society of NLP and several other institutions.  Coaching and training has been an integral part of both his professional career and personal life.

Scott’s professional career, spanning over 20 years, began in the corporate world, managing and leading a national car leasing company in Miami, Florida.  He was responsible for management and sales development for several South Florida locations and eventually became a corporate trainer for the organization.

Building on his management and training skills, he then moved into the legal field where he directed and coordinated complex litigation cases for a select group of internationally recognized law firms.  He continued his career development, specifically in the areas of training and sales by accepting a position with a leading legal publishing company.  He was responsible for the sales and training of online and database-based research products to law firms, corporate law departments and universities in South Florida and Puerto Rico.

It was during this part of his career that Scott was introduced to and applied NLP practices, as well as the concept of Life Coaching. Communication was fundamental to the success and delivery of products and training to his clients.  With its focus on communication and how individuals process information, NLP proved to be a perfect fit.

At the same time he was introduced to the newly emerging profession of Life Coaching.  He attended a road show seminar in 1999 that explained Life Coaching and offered a new potential career.  Although the prospect of becoming a Life Coach was appealing, the timing was just not right.  Life Coaching was placed on hold, not knowing that it would play such an instrumental role in his life.

 The value of NLP was narrowly viewed as a way of communicating with others.  Scott utilized the teachings of NLP, specifically, the understanding that each individual communicates in their own unique way.  Recognizing those unique communication styles was the sole application of his NLP knowledge at the time.  Not until years later would he realize its true value.

Wanting to make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals, Scott moved into the non-profit world.  Accepting a position with a large parish in the Archdiocese of Miami, Scott was responsible for the development and management of over 100 parish ministries, as well as the stewardship efforts of the parish community (the giving of ones time, talent and treasure in service to others.)  His coaching and training efforts shifted to the development of outreach programs and personal development of the parishioners.  In this role, he embarked on a new area of study.  He entered a masters program for non-profit management, and the subject of Life Coaching was re-introduced with a newfound significance.  He completed a course of study that emphasized Life Coaching in the non-profit world.  Coaching became his passion, and became the thread that tied all of his previous experience together.

He became a licensed life coach and began applying coaching concepts within the ministries at the parish. His learning did not stop there, however, as there was another piece of the puzzle that would take his passion to an entirely new level. Scott came across Global NLP Training, where he discovered the combination of NLP with life coaching.

Upon his completion of his NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner training the true value of NLP and Life Coaching became apparent.  NLP was not only a communication tool with others, it was a tool for personal development.  Understanding how individuals communicate internally, provided the opportunity and skills to deal with more complicated life challenges of his coaching clients, as well as his own personal development.  Scott applied his learning by assisting parishioners dealing with cancer, job loss, and spiritual development.  He also used the knowledge with personal life issues (raising his three children, dealing with a personal divorce, transitioning to a life as a single parent, and assisting in his passion for continuous improvement in all areas of his life.)

Scott continued his life’s journey.  He left the parish to start his own coaching practice, and was working as an independent consultant with an international non-profit.  In a series of what seemed like coincidental events, Scott was offered a position as a senior trainer for Global NLP Training.  This position offered the potential for him to further live his passion for coaching and positive change.

Scott is currently a Senior Trainer with Global NLP and also runs his coaching practice in Miami, Florida.  “Coaching, training and making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and the world are what constitute my purpose in life.  Being able to facilitate positive change and growth with individuals and in all that I do is my primary focus.  I look forward to each and every day, for the opportunity of helping others to fulfill their dreams, and in the process fulfill my own.”
