How to Get in to the Zone of Selling More
Selling more, seems to be the holy grail for so many of us. NLP offers a host of handy tools that will help you sell more. Among which entering “The Zone.”
Anyone whom has ever sold anything, knows there are moments you hit when you are just in “The zone.” That place, where you could sell ice cream cones on the North Pole. Is it charisma? Luck? A sudden burst of self confidence and belief in yourself? Perhaps a little of all, but in order to get in to “The Zone, you need to adopt the right state of mind. One thing is for sure though, it is not something that happens to you, it is a process you create in your mind.
Here are the directions to entering “the Zone.” Or as they call it in NLP a desired resource state.
Step 1:
Remember a time when you did something extraordinary well? Imagine being right in that event again.
Step 2:
What did you see during this time? What did you hear? What did you feel?
(Make sure you re-experience the feeling of “the zone” to the fullest extent you possibly can.
Step 3:
During the highest peak of intensity, touch the back of your left hand, with the finger tip of your right hand. You have now set an anchor.
Step 4:
Test your anchor. Touch the back of your left hand, with the finger tip of your right hand. Do you feel “the Zone?” You can now enter the Zone by pressing your own “Zone button” and…sell more!
If you didn’t enter the zone, then repeat step one to four, but make sure that in your minds eye you create the highest level of intensity reliving the event where you did extraordinary well. Each time you fire the anchor, you will immediately be brought back to experiencing your desired resource state, putting you in “the zone” to selling more.
