NLP for the Environment
NLP and the environment? It may seem an odd topic to post on. But more about that later.
Using NLP to enhance your environmental goals? No matter what goal you have, I’d like to inspire environmental bloggers around the world to do this process. It may seem a bit odd, but NLP works with the coding in your brain. You can use your brain, to achieve goals. You can program your mind, to reach your goals. This is not some fuzzy “the secret” stuff, NLP works with software in your brain. And what better way to program our own minds with NLP, to reach environmental goals that benefit the world?
Please understand this is only a short version, in order to not make this post several pages. You’ll find out why later, but it is important that I finish this “NLP for the environment” blog post today.
I suggest you learn the steps below first. And then find a quiet uninterrupted place to do it.
1. Choose a specific goal:
Your goal most have a few characteristics. A) pick a goal that is stated in the positive (not about what you “don’t” want but what you “do” want), B) make sure your goal specific, time and bound, C) you must be the one to achieve the goal, D) and you know when you have reached the goal, E) make sure it is a goal that is not going to upset or hurt anyone.
Now imagine in your minds eye, what does reaching your goal would feel like? Look like? Sound like? Make a compelling as an representation of this in your mind, as you possible can. Imagine yourself being in moment of reaching your goal. Enjoy this moment in your imagination, because you will soon reach it. Make it as real as possible to you in your imagination. As if your goal was really happening right now.
2. Developing a plan:
Now imagine the future after your goal. See that future. And imagine a road between your future, and your past. See your imaginary time line. Imagine you are now in the future, looking back at your own past. You have just completed your goal. And you look back at the path going up to reaching that goal. Now walk back along side of the path way. Begin walking back in time. What have you done along the way to achieve your goal? See, feel, and hear everything you have completing it? All the things that have you reach the goal. What made it possible? Make it as compelling in your mind as possible. See what you would see? Hear and feel. Make it is as real and compelling as possible in your imagination.
Now pay special attention to the steps you took. Take your time. See what you saw, feel what you felt, hear what you would hear. Then go back to your present.
Your unconcious mind, now knows what to do.
3. Get to work and do it!
Use your realistic completion date. Schedule all the steps in between. Keep your eye on your mission. Be the project manager of your goal. And get to work, and achieve you goal! Take the steps you would take, you have already imagined, and practiced in your mind.
Your mind can not tell the difference between what really happened, and what happened in your head. So literally, you can practice stellar performances in your head, and the brain operates the same way as if you are really achieving it. That’s what NLP does.
Good Luck using NLP to achieve your environmental goals.
