Hard to Control Non Verbal Responses
Here are four very hard to control non verbal responses an individual can give. It gives you an advantage what is going on subconsciously in the people you are communicating with.
Skin color changes
Obviously the easiest way to see a skin color change and recognizing what the corresponding internal state belongs to is of course embarrassment. But color changes can be more subtle then that. Try to pay attention to contrast. What is the color of the nose ompared to cheeks or forehead. You’ll soon notice that color changes occur when someone’s internal state changes. For instance when topics are changed.
Muscle changes
These changes can be quite small to detect, but can be seen if you pay attention to them. Tension and relaxation you can be detected the easiest by paying attention to area around the mouth, the corners of someone’s eyes, and the jaw line. When muscle tension changes in a person, you can tell they are in a different state they were previously. Note that the meaning of muscle changes, are not universal.
Lower lip changes
These are nearly impossible to control. Changes in color, texture, size, firmness, trembling etc. This requires some practice, but if you start paying attention and take mental snap shots, you’ll soon begin to notice these changes, and what they mean to a specific person.
Breathing changes
You can easily tell if someone has changed their breathing or if someone is breath fast or slow by paying attention to the edge of the shoulder or the colar bone. When you are in a conversation, and you see someone’s breathing changes, this means they have changed their internal state. For some reason something was said, to make them change their breathing.
If you want to learn how to pay attention to them properly, practice them one at a time. For instance 1 week you pay attention to breathing changes during one conversation you have per day, the next week you pick skin color, etc.
Pay attention to unconscious non verbal responses, they are very hard to control, and they give you a distinct advantage when communicating with someone.
